The final update to Iron Tower Studio’s unabashedly old-school RPG arrives today, concluding the 10-year developmental journey of The Age of Decadence as it approaches its newly announced launch-date, October 14, 2015.
Currently on Steam Early Access, the final content update for The Age of Decadence includes:
- The Ziggurat. The final game location and the resting place of an ancient God who fought alongside men in the Great War, but vanished after the collapse of the Empire.
- 13 possible endings, dictated by players’ choices, deeds, the items they’ve obtained, and even what they have seen.
- Improved combat AI to provide a more challenging combat experience with units being able to more deftly switch tactics.
Set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world inspired by the fall of the Roman empire, The Age of Decadence is a turn-based RPG with highly tactical combat, rich character development, multiple quest solutions, and a branching narrative filled with difficult choices and impactful consequences.
The Age of Decadence is not a game about killing monsters or exploring mystical lands, but rather, surviving amid the greed and brutality of your fellow humans and carving out a name for yourself. Good and bad are purely relative. It’s a world of scheming and backstabbing in which your words and actions have the potential to forge alliances and sow discord, and your path is never certain.
